Seems like a little bit better than average for a sushi place. Some creative things on the menu. Looks like a popular cruising spot for the younger set. A little small and crowded.

Good sushi. The best we've found in St Augie. But I think Sushi Rocks in Jax is worth an extra star. Service here is excellent. Fast and friendly. They have the usual sushi selects. Nothing super creative but we didn't try the Flagler roll so that's for the next visit.

My parents and I stumbled across this place when visiting. Great stir fry. Excellent service. This place definitely is a "fusion" what with the tvs showing some sports game and Green Day playing for the house music. I told the waitress I was vegan and she made sure that I got a different rice with no fish powder. It was absolutely awesome that she was so knowledgeable of the food's ingredients and so accommodating. I also took some sushi to go. YUM. Also 8 pieces instead of 6!!! Extra YUM. Also, that salad dressing. WOW.

This was my 1st real sushi experience. We celebrated my brother's 43rd birthday. Mikelle was our server. She was very friendly and knew evoke of our old friends. Small World. I had Yum Yums- they were the bomb. This was a great occasion to bust my sushi bubble!

This place has really gone down hill over the years. I guess that's why is so easy to get a seat these days. Had many issues with the meal and service tonight. 1. They brought out appetizer after food. 2. The lo mein was tasteless. 3. Sushi is a bit over priced compare to other St Aug locations 4. The lo mein was suppose to come with soup. The waitress didn't know that and wasn't even going to check until I asked her to look at the menu. Since we were done with dinner, told her to forget it thinking she'd at least take it off the meal price...she didn't. 5. The check was tallied wrong and had to wait for that to be fixed. It is a bit sad as this used to be a really good place to eat.

I have been to Fusion Point three times over the course of 10 years. This is really a nice restaurant in St Augustine FL. This place even impressed my wife. The fusion of Japanese, Korean, and other Asian was really nice. This is a good restaurant

Several veteran waitresses, and a sushi-making prodigy warrant the 5 star rating. Ok, there are some cons: restaurant is small, but we like COZY. There aren't any water walls, jumping koi, or flashing light lemon wedges, BUT the ingredients are extremely fresh, the rice tender and perfectly seasoned, and ALL rolls are expertly made so the flavors are distinct, yet blend. How many times have I had sushi rolls with rice undercooked, and the shrimp or fish mushy!? The rolls here are so good, they are addictive. The St. Augustine roll is a MUST TRY, the unusual flavors are delectable still, and I lost count how many I have had over the years. There are daily specials and discounts for eat-in, and take-away. Tried the short ribs recently, and my, my, my, you can't find them better anywhere. Excellent, efficient, friendly service, masterful sushi making, and cozy intimate atmosphere make Fusion Point one of our all-time faves in St. Augustine.

The tuna roll I ordered was so fishy. I left the restaurant with a very upset stomach. The service was great however the sushi does not match up.

I've heard Fusion was once the place to go for quality sushi in St Augustine. My wife and I were not impressed. If the food was decent I could have overlooked the cramped seating, unfortunately it wasn't.

They used to have the best sushi in St. Augustine by my standards in 2005, however, since then have gone down-hill. Atmosphere: Small intimate place Service: I wouldn't say it was the best but it wasn't the worse. I would like to say that I appeared they were under staffed that day. Food: Sushi was just okay. I recently had the Yum Yum Roll (which just tasted liked fried batter and bland) and the Spicy Tuna Roll (which wasn't spicy and had a warm paste-like texture). I also had the calamari appetizer, which was too salty and again lacked flavor. Cost: $35. The quality of the food was well worth it before, however, now I consider it way overpriced. I probably could have gotten some store bought sushi for a 1/3 of the price and would taste about the same. Overall: I would go back if I was in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

The sushi here is orgasmic. I definitely don't think ordering off the real menu is a wise choice. Items are a bit overpriced and not as great as other places. When it comes to sushi in St. Augustine, this place has the best. I went here once a week for 4 years as the typical 'date night' with the lady friend. In no time the waitresses knew exactly what we wanted before we sat down. I recommend the Flagler roll, spicy tuna, trick or treat, and florida roll. We would always order the soup AND salad for our appetizer. The salad has the best dressing ever, some sort of vidalia onion dressing.

Caterpillar roll is awesome!!! Recommended by the waitress and I've had it twice and it's awesome each time!

Where should I even begin. I can't believe this place got so many stars, if I could give it zero, I would. Maybe most haven't had really great sushi before and so they wouldn't know what they're actually missing. Upon entering this place, I noticed that I was the only Asian person in the entire establishment, that includes the staff and the Caucasian kid rolling the sushi behind the bar. I say kid because he looked like a young college student. That should have been the first sign to run... but too late we were already spotted and seated. We were given paper menus to make a checklist of sushi we wanted. We ordered this combination appetizer for $12. It included gyoza, spring rolls and this shrimp roll, 3 of each. They arrived on this little plate and the size of these scrawny little things tasted like they came out of a bag from the frozen section in the asian grocery. Hardly worth the $12 and not to mention it was served with a white ranch type dressing. Really? Ranch dressing in a Japanese place? Whatever happened to ponzu or ginger soy sauce dressing? Next our salads came out, thank goodness it was included with our sushi or I would have been even more upset that I paid for this. The salad would have been okay had it not been served with a white mayo cottage cheese type dressing. That's the only way I could describe it. When they said Fusion, I am guessing where the Fusion comes from. It was terrible and the texture haunted us even after our meals. Then came the sushi. It wasn't presented on individual plates, but on one large platter and the waitress didn't even say what they were. I don't even think she knew herself what each roll was and so came the guessing game of identifying which sushi was whose. Needless to say, my family and I were not impressed with the quality. It was as if they got the lowest grade tuna they could find. I am not normally this harsh when reviewing a place, as a chef/caterer, I try to go to as many places to experience a restaurant's diversity and flair for unique flavors. More often than not, I am usually impressed. But when it's bad... it's really bad and there is no going back.

Went for the first time the other night. Super quaint lil place. Staff was nice, food came quickly. Sushi was good. Not as good as I was told, but I'd definitely go back.

This was located next to Country Inn. We arrived a little late and they were open. The service was good and so was the sushi. The General Tao's Chicken was not very good. The fried vegetables were very good either. Stick to the sushi. They were a little small but the rice was good. Not quite a good Japanese Restaurant.

Our sushi was good but it was warm. Our waitress was awesome she recommended the veggie tempura and it was delicious. My only complaint was the temp of the sushi other than that good food and atmosphere.

I didn't want to believe the newer reviews. I'm here to tell ya...it's no coincidence that the "Best of St. Augustine" plaques stopped at 2010. The details are not good. We ordered the same sushi we always got years ago giving us a good comparison. The Trick-or-treat roll was the best thing we got. And it's the only reason the update is a 2 star. The tuna and yellowtail were bland...bordering on old. I ate the scallops...The wife only did half of hers. The salmon was a little gamey too. She left half of it too. Our seaweed salad was a 3 star performer. Our waitress was attentive. She did fail to tell us we could get a free miso soup or salad with our sushi. I can also confirm other reports of no Asian workers at all (maybe a bit silly to gauge with this but I think it matters). And there were very few people in the place at 6 on a Saturday night. In the end...I can't give this place the recommendation any more.

Our favorite sushi place in town. We've been dozens of times and 95% of the time it is excellent. It's not very big but sometimes there is a wait, and other times you're the only ones in there. They do great specials on fri/sat night. We have our favorite chefs, but we have yet to find one we won't use. We love the tempura ice cream but it's a little $$ to get often. We've had two dishes from the kitchen, but wouldn't do that again. Stick with the sushi!

What happened to you, Fusion Point?? A couple of years back the place was packed and the quality of the food was excellent. This past Monday evening though, MEH. We were the only diners there. The waitress was courteous and served us well, but the food was mostly a disappointment compared to the past. Ordered sushi to start with, including a spicy conch roll. I'm accustomed to spicy conch from Fusion having the seemingly standard mayo-based "yum yum" type spicy sauce, but when I peeked inside the roll, no such luck. There appeared to be a bit of reddish sauce between the meat and rice. I asked for extra spicy sauce, and sushi guy gave me a dab of plain old Sriracha straight out of the squeeze bottle. The "salad" that came alongside the sushi consisted of a single slice of cucumber, some green leaf lettuce, and the dressing. The dressing (a favorite of mine, pureed onion with what tastes like sweet rice vinegar, ginger, and some other ingredients) did not disappoint, but come on, at least throw me a tomato wedge or two! Main course was curried beef and scallop panang curry. The curried beef was a bit too tough, though the sauce was flavorful. The panang curry is supposed to have noodles, but there were a lot more veggies than noodles. That wasn't too bad, but the "scallops" weren't, they were clearly stingray or skate, NOT true sea scallops. Paid $50 for at best a $20 meal. If they sell their salad dressing, I'd heartily recommend buying it, but don't bother with the rest, they don't make it like they used to.

Really enjoyed our dinner last night at Fusion Point, especially since it was my first time having sushi since having a baby in August. I was not disappointed! The rolls were excellent! The fish tasted fresh the rolls were perfectly sized and the wait staff friendly and prompt. I loves that their spicy tuna roll is nice whole chunks of tuna not completely drowning in the red spicy sauce but it still packed a nice pop of heat and the sprinkling of green onion on top was a nice touch. If I had one critique it would be for an offense that most st Augustine restaurants do as well and that is not dimming the lights for dinner. It would just add to the ambiance so much more (especially since te decor inside is sorely in need of an update). Overall I highly recommend Fusion Point.

Food is OK but service is awful. Had dinner there with 3 other people. One dinner came so late that the other 3 had finished eating. When speaking with Manager he gave us a poor excuse (backed up at Sushi bar). You just lost 4 repeat customers!

Fusion is in a little building tucked on the side of San Marco Blvd in St. Augustine and it is wonderful. We make an effort to eat there when are down in St. Aug. The decor is not spectacular and the tables are set up to get the most out of the space. The carpeting looks like it needs to be replaced. But we go for the food and the sushi. The salad is good and has the type of dressing you wish you could request a straw for! The edamame is typical as is the miso soup. The sushi is excellent and fresh! The rolls are plenty and the rice has a good flavor. My daughter usually pulls her sushi off the rice and just eats that. She actually ate the rice here. They know that a Philly roll is Tuna and cream cheese, not fake crab and prepare them accordingly! Just one of my pet peeves. If you are in St. Augustine and want sushi, this is the place to go!

We had the edamame (it was ok, definitely not the best I've had) to start the meal. My brother got the miso, which he loved, and my mom got the house salad which had a great homemade dressing (they do put a lot on it so ask for it on the side as a word to the wise). The rolls were absolutely delicious. I suggest the YUM YUM and the Flagler if you want rolls that you can't find at every sushi place.

Not surprisingly, in the week leading up to Valentine's day, my husband had made no plans. Did I mention he sleeps a lot? In fact, he napped most of the Valentine's Day. At about 6, he woke up, and I assume he thought something like, - "Oh, man...I had better do something/make a plan quickly! Valentine's day is almost over...." "Let's go out to dinner. Come on, let's go!" he said. "There is absolutely no point in trying to go to dinner now, with no reservations on Valentine's Day." was my, not very loving, reply. I figured we would end up at Applebee's. Fortunately, he took a chance and drove over to Fusion Pointe, a place we had been meaning to try since moving to the area a few months ago. Now, we had moved here from the California bay area where we went out for sushi ALL time , and had some really good, favorite places to go. Amazingly, at Fusion Pointe there was one empty table and NO waiting. We were immediately seated at a nice table Hot sake and seared tuna appetizer came quickly. The tuna was amazing, served with a delicious lemon, garlic tataki sauce. I could have satisfied at that point, but my husband ordered WAY too much sushi - salmon, yellow tail, ama ebi, dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, dalilama roll. All were presented together on a large platter, very beautifully arranged. It was excellent sushi - and compared very well with our favorites in the bay area. Service was good - fast - friendly. As we got up to leave, uncomfortably full, but with quite a bit left over in our take home box, there was quite a crowd at the door waiting for tables. Sometimes, timing is everything.

Nothing exeptional about the sushi or service. Just ok. Exceedingly over hyped advertising as to claim of having the St. Augustine area's best sushi. It very over priced. I 've had much better sushi at Korean buffet restraunants.

Yuck. Went there three years ago, have never been back, even though we spend a lot of time in St. Augustine. I have no idea why some of my friends love this place. I've avoided it ever since the manager insisted that the seared tuna, which was coming apart like an accordion, was fresh when I brought it to his attention.
